Watch repairs:
Like
all machinery, mechanical watches need regular servicing
for optimum performance.
The following ten steps are undertaken by us during
an overhaul:
1. Remove the movement from the case
2. Disassemble movement (up to
130 parts)
3.
Visually check parts under microscope for wear and
rust, and replace faulty
parts
4.
Cleaning process – parts are immersed in a
specially formulated cleaning
fluid to remove dirt, dust,
sticky oil, etc. and then
pass through two rinses
cycles and finally through
the drying chamber.
5. The movement is then reassembled, and
oiled with highest quality
lubricants.
6. Case and strap are cleaned
in ultrasonic machine.
7. Movement remounted into case.
8. New battery fitted where required.
9. Waterproof watches pressure-tested.
10.Time calibrated in workshop
for 48 hours.
